If you’ve got little ones around your home or if you’re simply young at heart, you know that next week is one of the most fun holidays of the year. Yep, I bet you know what we’re talking about… Halloween! Costumes & candy, laughs & scares, what could be better, right? Well, we know you’ve probably already started thinking about costumes and for all those hosting their own monster bash, what you’ll be serving. We’ve thought of some ways to help you become a little Greener this Halloween, so lets get to it!
June 8th paid tribute to World Oceans Day, a yearly celebration focused on bringing awareness and education to the masses about the challenges our oceans face. Without a doubt, events like the catastrophic Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and the unbalancing effects of fisheries were hot topics during yesterday’s festivities.
The conservation of our oceans and aquatic wildlife is becoming a prevalent conversation and something which we should all take seriously. After all, approx. 71% of our Earth’s surface is covered with water and the delicate, life-bearing eco-system we live in greatly depends on the maintenance of these water bodies. Check out the video after the break, shot by Darek Sepiolo, and take a look at the beauty and flourishing life you can help save.
Well, would you look at that, it’s already that time of year again. The annual Green Living Show is happening this week from April 15-17 at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto, Ontario and as always, we can’t wait to see you there!
