I am pleased to welcome you to our website. In keeping with our commitment to being transparent and forthcoming, we will continue to use our site to provide information on Green cleaners and initiatives that we hope you will find current and relevant.
I would like to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to all users of our natural cleaners. Because of your overwhelming support, we grew by over 25% in 2009. In my humble opinion, businesses that focus on supplying truly green, healthy solutions at affordable price points to consumers will continue to enjoy double digit growth over the next decade.
2010 is shaping up to be another exciting year. We’ve introduced a dozen new EcoLogoTM certified, natural Eco-Max commercial and consumer products that support a healthy lifestyle and make cleaning a breeze. With over 125 SKUs of EcoLogoTM certified products, we now offer the widest selection of certified cleaners in North America.
The old saying “Put your money where your mouth is” brings a smile to my face as consumer behaviour has finally ramped up to a point where governments and corporations are listening. Examples abound: Hybrid and electric cars, ban on pesticides, rechargeable lawn mowers, reusable shopping bags, post consumer plastic products, CFL bulbs, renewable energy from windmills and solar panels, green buildings and the list goes on.
A positive development for North American consumers is the increased scrutiny from both the US Federal Trade Commission and the Canadian Competition Bureau regarding misleading environmental claims. They have established guidelines for environmental labeling and marketing of consumer products. Although these are not laws, third party certification programs such as EcoLogo are making sure all certified products comply with these guidelines. One more good reason for consumers to look for the EcoLogo symbol on product labels.
Our passionate pursuit of Environmental Leadership is ongoing, in January we switched to using green energy. Our office and manufacturing facility is Bullfrogpowered with 100% green electricity, further reducing our environmental footprint.
